About Davis Gallery

Bill Davis
Bill grew up in Baytown, TX and received a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Houston. He moved to Austin in 1975 to attend the graduate program in Studio Art at the University of Texas. While at UT he worked on the museum staff at the UT Huntington Gallery/HRC Michener Collection which has since become the Blanton Museum of Art. With his experience at the museum handling world-class artwork, and more than 25 years working as a gallery owner and framer, he continues to provide expertise in the field and to his customers.

Wendy Durci
Wendy is from Groves, TX (near Beaumont) and moved to Austin in 2001. She started framing in 1993 at her Aunt's frame shop and has been working as a framer ever since. Wendy became a Certified Picture Framer® with the Professional Picture Framers' Association® (PPFA) in 2001. She has served on the board of the Central Texas PPFA Chapter and remains an active member. Wendy has been at the Davis Gallery since 2003.

Sarah Lantz
Sarah is from Austin and has returned here after receiving a BFA from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She learned good crossover skills while working in the sign industry before college. Sarah has been at the Davis Gallery since 2005. She paints in acrylic and mixed media and often incorporates framing elements in her own work. Visit www.sarahlantz.com to see her work.

Melissa Bailey
Melissa is from Tyler, TX and moved to Austin in 1997. She received a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas and started framing while in school. Melissa has been at the Davis Gallery since 2006. She paints in oil and also works in pencil and Prismacolor.
