Images infused with the wonder of my early childhood experiences dictate what I paint.
Key among these experiences are the many summers spent at a ranch at the headwaters of the Guadalupe River. This world of hidden springs, crystal clear water, sparkling waterfalls, and open fields became a playground for a young imagination, infusing a taste of excitement that the unknown ignites. This memory now initiates a conversation between landscape and self, a sharing of ideas, searching for truths and intimate reflection, and finally resulting in my artistic interpretation, often of Town Lake, the Frio and Colorado Rivers and the fields of Central Texas and Big Bend.
